Coastal Kicks Soccer will be hosting two Try-out dates for Comp Teams for the 2019 Spring Season. Try-outs are open to all area Boys and Girls born 2011-2005. We will be forming teams to compete in the US Club Soccer - RED LEAGUE set for 2019 with games starting in January. Try-out dates are pasted below as well as RED LEAGUE 2019 information and game schedule.

RED LEAGUE - Directed by US Club Soccer is a new Regional Development League that starts in 2019. Coastal Kicks Soccer will be entering Comp Teams into the RED LEAGUE at the first of the new year, hoping to possibly enter the following teams. U10-U12 and U13/U14. * Try-Outs on 11/28 and 12/12 will determine teams that the club enters into new league.

RED LEAGUE competition starts in January of 2019 and will consist of 4 weekends of games for the first spring season.

**Players & Teams U10-12 will play two games on same day, no overnight stay
**Players & Teams U13 & older will play two games in two days, overnight stay

Interested players must attend one of two tryout dates on 11/28 & 12/12 to be considered for team placement.

Why is Coastal Kicks Soccer forming competitive teams?

Forming teams to play competitively is the next stage in the Coastal Kicks development-based model. Unlike the competition-based model used in the big local soccer clubs where everything revolves around league and tournament competition (i.e., winning trophies), our model emphasizes individual player development in a positive supportive environment (free of the inappropriate pressures to "win at all costs" regardless of age or ability). Since soccer is a team sport, it is critical for kids to experience team competitions to develop fully as players. Coastal Kicks players will now be able to enjoy that process as a part of their development at the appropriate age and level of play.

Current Comp Team Boy & Girl Players born on the years 2007-2011

My child plays with Coastal Kicks but not on the current Comp Teams. How can they join?
Please email us at info@coastalkicks.com player: NAME, AGE, DATE OF BIRTH, GENDER, and location where you attend and coaches will provide a player evaluation and let you know comp team placement.

My child is new to Coastal Kicks but would like to join Comp Teams?
Please email us at info@coastalkicks.com player: NAME, AGE, DATE OF BIRTH, GENDER, and we will arrange a coach to give a player evaluation to determine eligibility & comp team placement.

What training will my child receive on a competitive team?
All Comp Team Players and Teams will train at Huffman Park for the 2018-2019 seasonal year. Players will work with Coastal Kicks Soccer Professional Club coaches on technical and tactical skills and receive both team and individual training. Longer weekly sessions, specific weekly topics of training, fitness and speed training as well as seasonal player evaluations. 

Where will the team travel?
Competitive teams will play local and regional clubs through matches, league play as well as club friendlies. In addition, teams will participate in select local and regional tournaments.

How much will it cost?
The Competitive Team Fees cost $275 for Fall Season and $275 for the Spring (a winter season will be offered but players are only obligated to Fall and Spring). Fees cover cost of training and league games. Registration fees do not include Tournament costs or additional matches outside regular play.

How long will team / season last?
Competitive teams will be formed for the 2018-2019 year. (Aug-May) Comp Team Players are obligated to the Fall and Spring Comp Team Training, Game and Match schedules. (Comp Team Players are NOT obligated to play the winter season)

How many teams will be formed?
Teams will be formed based on number of players interested and level of play

Will teams be co-ed?
Coastal Kicks Soccer will offer both boys and girls teams (based on level of interest) as well as co-ed.
